Krabby Patties

I was walking down the candy aisle yesterday and what should I see nestled among the Easter treats, but this: SpongeBob SquarePants Gummy Krabby Patties Candy Colors.

What the heck? Seriously what are these? Why are they with the Easter stuff? What is going on here??? I like SpongeBob as much as the next guy, heck even more probably, but this is a pretty off the wall candy.

I get that its supposed to be a huge Krabby Patty. For those uninformed, SpongeBob works as a fry cook for Mr Krabs, at the Krusty Krab burger restaurant in the show. So this is supposed to be a huge, Scooby Doo style burger, only its gummy, and all weird colors. Looks more like a gummy kabob to me. And what is SpongeBob doing in this picture?

It looks like he's painting a gummy. But why is he painting a gummy? Is that how he makes the Krabby Patties? And what is he stepping on?? I think I'm missing something conceptual about this packaging, because it is just lost on me.

Yes I love SpongeBob, no I do not want to eat his gummy colors candy.
